The consensus previously was that the dock isn't so great.

if you have an older Mac, some of this stuff might be useful. Everyone does not have a new Apple Silicone Mac. It looks like OWC is trying to unload to older inventory while they still can.

This is the second ad they have put on Mac Rumors, they seem desperate to sell off this stuff.

I've had a few docks from OWC and they have all been absolute junk. If you literally breath on these things the cables wobble and boom disconnect. That company is dead to me.

If you're looking for a killer dock and money isn't an issue, I would highly recommend The iVanky Max 1. An unbelievable amount of ports and they all work perfectly. I've never loved a dock as much as I do this one. Been using it for several months now without any issues whatsoever.

Interesting commentary. I have used OWC for decades and have never seen any "absolute junk." Lots of things I would not buy, including this old dock being hyped by MR; but no absolute junk.
