Amazon this week has introduced a new all-time low price on the 32GB Apple TV HD that comes bundled with the new Siri Remote. This accessory is now priced at $124.98, down from $149.00, beating the previous low price from August by about $5 and marking the best price of the year.

This version is the same fourth generation Apple TV HD device that was released in 2015, but now it's bundled with the revamped Siri Remote. The new accessory features a one-piece aluminum body, tactile clickpad with five-way navigtation, and rearranged buttons.

The Apple TV HD is in stock now and ready to ship within 1-2 days, so you still have time to order it in time for Christmas delivery. You can also get the newer 32GB Apple TV 4K model delivered for Christmas, but its deal isn't as steep as the HD version, priced at $169.99, down from $179.00.

Nobody should buy this and shame on Apple for even selling the HD version anymore.

New remote is fine - but the unit itself is old and slow.

Pure money grab on old HD ATV units/components they must have sitting around.

Still not a good deal considering it’s using an A8 chip. This is still a device from 6 years ago…

Still about $70 too high
Agreed. My Roku's kick ass and cost me under $30, and I use Apple Airplay on them all the time.

I just received the 4K I got through the amazon deal. The remote is really an improvement. Other than that I can't tell a difference between the 1st and 2nd gen 4K, but I got the 2nd gen so I could move my first gen upstairs. Smart TVs are so much worse than these Apple TV boxes. $150 is well worth the price to never have to use a Smart TVs smart functions.

If Apple wants to keep this old and outdated model around, they really need to at least make it $79-89 - max.

(Please don't mention the standalone remote cost - that thing is also an INCREDIBLE ripoff. They removed the accelerometer and glass trackpad, and seemed to cheap out on the IR component also...margin on that thing must be insane.)
