The trial will be available through the LG Content Store and must be redeemed by February 20, 2022. The offer is limited to first-time Apple TV+ subscribers, so anyone who has already trialed Apple's streaming video service cannot take advantage of this promotion. There is a limit of one free trial per eligible LG Smart TV and per Apple ID.

Apple TV+ normally offers a free seven-day trial, with pricing then set at $4.99 per month. Apple also continues to offer a free three-month trial of the service with the purchase of a new iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac.

Apple TV+ competes with the likes of Netflix and Disney+ by offering a slate of original programming, ranging from the award-winning comedy series "Ted Lasso" to the star-studded drama series "The Morning Show."

My ATV4k hardware looks far better than the inbuilt app on my LG CX, it’s far more cinematic and colour accurate.

Also sounds far better, giving me ATV dolby atmos on the OG HomePods (and through eARC pass through for all other content).

Plus the ATV4k screensavers are brilliant, and having multiple security cameras and all my favourite Phillips Hue lighting scenes available from the remote is excellent.

Putting all those things together, I am very happy with the ATV4K box, and I am pleased for those who don’t have one to be able to try out ATV on their LG sets.

Worth it just for Ted Lasso ‘Beard After Hours’ ?

Reasons to use tvOS over webOS:
1. No ads
2. No data harvesting
3. No options for dynamic bias light
4. More apps and improved app support
5. Faster UI
6. Zero Sign-On
7. Replace the TV or the streaming box without replacing both.
8. A better remote. (Subjective, but the LG remote has a way too many buttons, and the lack of touch controls makes scrubbing harder.)
1. There's no ads in LG WebOS either. They give an option to turn it on in settings, but I've never seen any ads.
2. Even Apple and Netflix harvest data for analytics purposes, to improve their products. There's not much in terms of private data LG could collect from YouTube (laughable if you think that's private) and plex.
3. LG has their own processor and image processing software on their OLED TV's.
4. Apps 99% of people won't use
5. WebOS doesn't have any lag in the UI on LG's high end TV's.
6. Same on webOS. You're given a code to enter on your smartphone.
7. Apple TV is a streaming box.
8. Sorry, but you can use the magic remote as a cursor. Way faster.

It seems you haven't really used webOS on a recent TV from the past 2 years. LG is not Samsung.

So, not only do LG users get a vastly superior AppleTV app which actually works and is fast, but now they get free content.

Way to integrate Hardware + Software + Services, Apple. Pretty sure your software running on your hardware should be at LEAST as good as when running on 3rd parties.

(and yes, I know you get AppleTV+ for 90 days free when you buy a new Apple product. My point is a) the software actually works on 3rd party hardware and b) this offer is retroactive to 5 purchases in the past 5 years.)
