And the 2014 Mac Mini was a lobotomy. So it’s more accurate to say “not improved on any way since 2012.”

I'm going to say it: the day Apple updates the Mac mini, if that day comes, I'll order it on day one. Just for the sake of it.

Apple have been stuck on coming up with a whole new design for the mini. The 2014 only used non existent security Torx Plus 6 screws. Not nearly hard enough to deal with. For the next one, it may be dodecaheptalobe or it will be entirely stir welded together after filling with explosive potting compound. Non upgradable and not even by a ninja.

Mac Mini seems so easy to update. I wonder what’s taking them so long. It already looks nice. Tweak the design a bit and update the internals and ports and voila!

I know it’s not super popular, buttt some people are buying it.

I absolutely love my Mac Mini. And my home office has a ton of natural light so I have to use a matte screen. No iMac for me. So I pray Apple will update it at some point.

After the ridiculous Mac Pro news, perhaps they realized that silence would be more dignified.

Apple should take the basis of this... and make it run MacOS.

Maybe put the innards in a sleek aluminum case. But the hard work is already done. By Intel. Yes, that Intel.

I'd guess that more people are waiting for an updated Mac mini than are waiting for an updated Mac Pro. But it's apparently still not a priority for Apple. They haven't called the Mac mini a "hobby" but sometimes it seems like it.

LOL

The Accountant King is really executing Steve's vision faithfully.

I'm sure that Steve would have happily stood on stage at a WWDC and said "We noticed that we have a bunch of unsold inventory of a bad, overpriced 4-year-old computer so we're just going to wait till it all sells at full price. You guys should see the MARGINS we're getting! LOL KTHXBYE"

My maxed out 2012 still works a charm in combo with the Thunderbolt Display :)

It’s not been my main computer for a few years, but it’s still highly capable and sees quite a lot of use. A great purchase.
