Get ready to shop, folks. For the entire week of WWDC, Apple's on-campus Company Store will have extended hours by remaining open until 8pm for your shopping enjoyment. The Company Store carries a wide variety of software and hardware products for your Mac, in addition to Apple t-shirts, and lots of other cool Apple items. The Company Store is located at 1 Infinite Loop.

I wouldn't read into this too much... they are probably just leaving it open for the benefit of the many people that will be around for WWDC.
