Apple today updated its investor relations page to note it will announce its earnings for the second fiscal quarter (first calendar quarter) of 2016 on Monday, April 25.

The earnings release will provide a look at sales of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus following Apple's record first quarter, which saw the company announce 74.8 million iPhone sales and $18.4 billion profit on $75.9 billion in revenue. Apple has warned that iPhone sales will decline in the March quarter, potentially leading to Apple's first year-over-year decline since the iPhone was released in 2007.

During its first quarter earnings report, Apple provided Q2 2016 guidance of $50 to $53 billion in revenue and gross margin between 39 and 39.5 percent. Should Apple only take in $50 to $53 billion, the company will also see its first year-over-year revenue drop in 13 years.

The quarterly earnings statement will be released at 1:30 PM Pacific/4:30 PM Eastern, with a conference call to discuss the report taking place at 2:00 PM Pacific/5:00 PM Eastern. MacRumors will provide coverage of both the earnings release and conference call on April 25.

Made about $12 per share on this panic session. Bring it on.

Just goes to show how hysterical share traders really are and why the stock market isn't a true indication of a company's worth but more a reflection of what narcotics share traders eat or do not eat for breakfast.

Unfortunately Apple did not release an iPhone 6/6s in a 4 inch form factor. And the design it released for 6/6s with unsightly protruding camera and awful antenna bands was such an unresolved mess lots of people decided to hold off upgrading.
I've been advocating for a new 4 design direction for a looooong time and more recently on MacRumors. I even started a recent forum about this very specific design seeking comment and other design suggestions at the forum before the recently rumour: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/future-apple-design-language.1963417/
Apple really does read MacRumors and continues to shamelessly steal great artist's design ideas.
So the pertruding camera and antenna bands is a mess and kept people from upgrading...yet that design has set record sales...

Probably see some Macs drop before then.
I really hope so, it's about time they updated the line. You drop $10K on a brand-new Mac Pro, and it shows as a late 2013 model ... :(
