Apple® today announced that models of iPad Air™ 2 and iPad mini™ 3 with cellular networking will be available in China starting this week. TD-LTE and FDD-LTE standards, as well as TD-SCDMA, DC-HSDPA, HSPA+ and other fast networks, are all available in a single model, giving iPad Air 2 customers in China the ability to stay connected on advanced cellular data networks in China and around the world so they can go more places and do more things.

The cellular iPad Air 2 models are available at 4,488 (RMB) for the 16GB model, 5,188 (RMB) for the 64GB model and 5,888 (RMB) for the 128GB model. The iPad mini 3 is available at 3,788 (RMB) for the 16GB model, 4,488 (RMB) for the 64GB model and 5,188 (RMB) for the 128GB model.

Earlier this year, Apple made the first LTE iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina Display available for purchase in China.

They need to start selling them in the USA first. Orders are backlogged over 2-3 weeks for all models. Order now and you won't get it by Christmas.
Why do they NEED to do that? There may be people in the USA that "NEED" Apple to ignore the rest of the world, but that doesn't necessarily correspond to what Apple needs.

Still won't stop the iPad sales from falling even more :D:D:D

that would mean no one is going to buy a new iPad air2? i personally know maybe 2-3 people with an iPad air. every other iPad i see in my circles are iPad 2-4, or last year's mini. people (like myself) have been waiting for this air2 or are holding out for a pro/plus. they last 3+ years if you're not into throwing money away each year. why would their sales stay constant given the actual benefits (i.e. ever-improving apps and games that still cater to older models), and the longevity of the product?

Where? I just checked Apple.com and all show as in stock and shipping within 24 hours. Best Buy has every single model in stock by me.
