Quanta to Produce Apple Netbook in 2009?
Leung noted netbook PCs will drive much of his company`s shipment growth in 2009. In addition to the orders from existing brand clients as Acer, Lenovo, Hewlett Packard and BenQ, Quanta is expected to add Sony and Apple as clients for the contract manufacture of netbook computers in 2009.
The reference is made without much significance, and so we wonder the "netbook" reference was intended to be used.Netbooks typically refer to low-cost scaled down laptops that have recently been released by PC manufacturers using lower cost Atom processors. Apple has said they are not interested in the market at this time.
