Stream Your iTunes Library to Your iPhone Over Wi-Fi, EDGE or 3G

Simplify Media has released their self-titled application into the App Store. Simplify Media [App Store] lets you listen to your iTunes music library from anywhere.

The iPhone (and iPod touch) app is free for the first 100,000 downloads and will then be $3.99. Features include:

- Stream your music over Wi-Fi, EDGE and 3G
- Navigate quickly by artist, album and genre
- Enjoy cover art, artist bios and lyrics
- Connect with up to 30 friends
- Easy setup; no router configuration

It does require installing additional software on your Mac or PC to successfully stream the music.

Unfortunately, it appears that DRM encoded files are not available for playback. This typically includes songs purchased from iTunes. A short video demo is available from the developer:

It was there around 8:30 EST in the US Store. I installed it, it was working great, then tried again just now and it immediately crashed back to the home screen. So I uninstalled it, and now it's gone from the App store. Did Apple pull the big red lever?

Edit - It works fine, it was my phone just acting up.

8:30 EST?? I must have checked it at 8:35, and it wasn't there. I will be soooo bummed if this doesn't come out now, and I missed it by mere minutes! :(

their blog says live in europe only right now. so, looks like i'll keep refreshing until its in the app store. i had it when it was in the installer.app and it rocked.

wow, that seems like a pretty cool app. i have never heard of it (because i've never had any type of smart phone i guess) but definitely something i will download and try (mainly because its free)

What worries me is that sometimes new apps don't show up on the phone's app store right away. I won't be back near my computer for most of the day, and I'm hoping the limited free downloads aren't used up by the time I'm able to get to it!

Ah well...I'd happily pay for something like this too anyway, so no biggie. As long as it remains in the app store, and it's not another NetShare situation where it gets pulled!
