'Apple One' Went Up in Price

As a result of Apple Music going up in price in July, two Apple One plans also received price increases around the world.

In the U.S., the Apple One Family and Apple One Premier both went up by $2 per month.

Plan Previous Price New Price Monthly Increase
Apple Music (Student) $5.99/month $6.99/month $1
Apple Music (Individual) $10.99/month $11.99/month $1
Apple Music (Family) $16.99/month $19.99/month $3
Apple One (Individual) $19.95/month $19.95/month None
Apple One (Family) $25.95/month $27.95/month $2
Apple One (Premier) $37.95/month $39.95/month $2

The individual Apple One plan is the clear winner in the table above, as it did not receive a price increase despite an individual subscription to Apple Music increasing from $10.99 per month to $11.99 per month in the U.S. last month.

Even the Apple One Family and Apple One Premier plans technically became a bit more valuable, as they each only went up by $2 per month, despite an Apple Music Family subscription seeing a $3 increase from $16.99 per month to $19.99 per month.

The price increases extend to Australia, Canada, the U.K., and other countries around the world, with Apple notifying customers via email in recent weeks.

Production theater company IMAX has responded in a mixed way to Apple's embrace of a 1:1.4 aspect ratio on the iPhone Duo's inner and outer displays. The boxier ratio happens to be very close to the classic "full-frame" IMAX 1.43:1 aspect ratio, which comes from the geometry of the company's original 15-perforation/70mm film system. In response to an X post from someone wondering if we'll see...
