Next iPad Air's Chip Revealed in Latest Leak
The next-generation 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air models will be equipped with the M3 chip, according to a private account on social media platform X.

The account has a good track record of sharing iOS-related information, but it has had some occasional misses. We continue to respect the account owner's request to not link to its posts, as they wish to remain anonymous and maintain a low profile.
Earlier this week, leaker Evan Blass also revealed the next iPad Air models will use the M3 chip. Blass has a good track record, and is known for leaking iPhone 12 and HomePod mini marketing images a few hours before those devices were announced.
With multiple sources now saying the next iPad Air models will use the M3 chip, speculation that Apple might update the device with the iPad Pro's M4 chip instead now seems less likely to be true. However, we shall find out for sure in the coming weeks, as Apple is likely to announce the next iPad Air models by March or April.
No other major changes have been rumored for the next iPad Air models. Apple last updated the iPad Air lineup in May 2024, with the M2 chip.
