Apple Watch Series 8 Rumored to Feature New Red Color Option, No Delays Expected

The Apple Watch Series 8 will be available in a "new shade of red" and is not expected to see a delayed launch, according to the leaker known as "ShrimpApplePro."

Apple Watch 6 red Feature
In a tweet earlier today, ShrimpApplePro said that the Apple Watch Series 8 will continue to be available in 41mm and 45mm casing sizes, just like the Apple Watch Series 7. Adding to a previous report about the Apple Watch Series 8's color options, the leaker said that the device's (PRODUCT)RED option will be a "new shade of red."

The Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to be available in a smaller number of color options compared to the Series 7. It may only be available in Midnight, Starlight, PRODUCT(RED), and Silver, losing the Series 7's Blue and Green options.

The Apple Watch Series 8's box is also said to feature the same design as the Apple Watch Series 7, but with more glue on the pull-tabs. This change is intended to leave traces of glue when tearing open the tabs to more clearly confirm that the box has been opened. The tweaked packaging is also believed to apply to the iPhone 14 lineup. Sources speaking to ShrimpApplePro said that the contents of the Apple Watch Series 8's box remain largely the same as the Series 7.

Last year, the Apple Watch Series 7 launched almost a month after it was announced and suffered from severe shipping delays. ShrimpApplePro said that the Apple Watch Series 8's stock levels are adequate, leading to the assumption of "little to no shipping delay" upon launch.

This is one of the worst apple products ever. We have 3 Apple Watches, we don’t even bother to charge them anymore. We just wear them because they costed a lot of money lol
Well, of course it isn't very useful if you're wearing it without charging it.

It's always good news when it gets reported there are no delays. I'm sure the production is in full force right now. Question remains unanswered Apple Watch S8 will come from China or Vietnam?

Do they? I mean what does Apple Watch has over things like Fitbit? I'm not that interested in apps, I would always prefer to use those on my phone. Login into mac is also not that important since introduction of touch id. What else do you think is useful?
I have the cellular version and I'm able to do several things that don't require my phone. Running and biking. I would also say hiking but I like to take pictures. Apple pay is nice if you don't have your phone or wallet (don't think cellular is required for this). Water activities. I live in Texas so on the river, at the beach or at a water park. Can stay in communication with my family if we go different ways for a bit. I have teenagers, so I'm not cool enough to hang out with.:)

I don't think fitbit could help me with any of these things.

I wasn't that interested with smartwatches when they first surfaced, but the feature set is becoming better and better, so maybe it's the time to get one. I'm just not sure about getting Apple Watch or something simpler just for fitness.
If you have an iPhone it really makes sense to go into the Apple Watch ecosystem. They work together so well!

Apple Watch is not for everyone though. Their battery life is terrible and switching to them is hard when you've already tried another smart watch with battery life as long as 2 weeks (with full-day heart-rate monitoring, GPS for running, sleep tracking, notifications etc.)
I would agree, but with the AW7 fast charging I generally only need to put it on my charger when I shower after AM workout and before I go to bed for 20 minutes or so. It doesn't disrupt my life.

I just wish they’d bring back ceramic.

I always end up settling on stainless steel, but it’s annoyingly heavy and just scratches so easily…
