Deals: Get Up to $69 Off Apple's iPad Mini 5, Starting at $344.99 for 64GB Wi-Fi

Rare discounts on the iPad mini 5 have cropped up today on Amazon, offering up to $69 off the 7.9-inch tablet. Sales start with the 64GB Wi-Fi model at $344.99, down from $399.00, available in Silver and Space Gray.

Likewise, the 256GB Wi-Fi model is on sale for $479.99, down from $549.00. This one is available in all three colors: Space Gray, Silver, and Gold. Both models of the iPad mini 5 are in stock on Amazon and ready to ship today.

While neither sale is offering a lowest-ever price on the iPad mini 5, discounts on this version of Apple's tablet lineup are few and far between. The most consistent deal on the 64GB Wi-Fi iPad mini 5 has stuck around $349.00 for the tablet, so today's sale is beating that offer by about $5.

In 2021, there have only been one or two solid discounts on the iPad mini 5. In our tracking since January, today's sale is the first time we've seen a discount from a major Apple reseller reach over $50 off.

Now would be a very bad time to buy an iPad mini. Just saying.

Your point is valid for many since an update may be coming soon, but there are industries where the iPad Mini 5 excels. Aviation is one of them. The iPad Mini 5 is invaluable in the cockpit to pilots and is vastly capable of running the apps pilots use them for. This is a very good sale and a good purchase for a pilot of flight departments on a budget.

Of course, for the person who needs or desires the latest tech, your point is strong!
To bad Apple still treats the iPad Mini as another entry level mobile device for the budget challenged such as for children and the elderly. Apple continues to mistake it target market and they do not seem to care either.

I agree. If the deal was half off with the Mini 5 at $149, then it would be something to nibble at..

The only way it’s worth buying now, is if you absolutely have to have one and can’t wait (like, for work, like you’ve mentioned). Otherwise, you’ll be able to get one on sale or clearance if they announce the new ones, which I think is very likely to happen soon; or you’ll just be able to get one of the new ones, which will probably have a significant performance boost.
