I really want to switch back to Nest because I loved it at our old house. I'm just hesitant because they're now owned by Google, they don't support HomeKit, and my new house is bigger so I need temperature sensors. Do they have temperature sensors yet? Their smart scheduling system is a lot better than Ecobee and the software seemed to be much better designed without errors. TBH I don't use HomeKit a lot with my thermostat as it just runs. If I ever need to tweak the temperature it's not a big deal to open an app. Do they support Apple Watch and iOS widgets yet? I'm also beginning to accept the fact that HomeKit will likely never have the best options for home automation.
Smart sensors are available for pre-order: https://nest.com/thermostats/nest-temperature-sensor/overview/

There is an Apple Watch app, as I recall, but I don't use it. There is no iOS widget yet. I also have several Nest cameras so it was easier for my family members to stay in the Nest ecosystem with an app they're already familiar with. The lack of HomeKit compatibility didn't deter me from getting the Nest thermostats. As inconsistent as Siri is with understanding commands, even if the Nest was HomeKit-compatible, it would probably be faster for me to open the Nest app and set the temperature myself.
