Apple Watch Now Available From B&H Photo

B&H Photo is now offering several different models of the Apple Watch, both online and in its retail store located in New York. Like other third party retailers that sell the Apple Watch, B&H Photo is only offering select Apple Watch stainless steel and Apple Watch Sport models.

With the Apple Watch in retail stores like Target, Best Buy, and B&H Photo, we may soon start seeing small discounts on the device. Each of these sites offers several other Apple products and they often have sales and deals available. With Black Friday approaching, it's possible there could be Apple Watch models available at lower prices.

The site is selling four different varieties of the stainless steel Apple Watch, offering the Black Stainless Steel model with a Black Sport Band in 38 and 42mm configurations and the Silver Stainless Steel model in 38 and 42mm configurations with a Product (RED) Sport Band, the Milanese Loop, and the White Sport Band.

Several varieties of the Apple Watch Sport are available, including Silver, Space Gray, Gold, and Rose Gold models with recent Apple Watch Sport Bands in colors like Midnight Blue, Antique White, Stone, Blue, and Lavender. B&H Photo is also selling Apple Watch charging cables and offering standalone Apple Watch bands.

Since August, Apple Watch availability has expanded to Best Buy, Target, and Sprint and T-Mobile locations.

Is B&H even open now? It is after all the Jewish holiday season. I am surprised at the breadth of things they sell - I think they are more like Best Buy these days than a camera store.
If B&H is selling them it means that Apple is liquidating them. All these retail outlets are likely getting the Apple Watches at very low wholesale prices. I think it's obvious that Apple seriously over-manufactured the Apple Watch and is now in damage control mode. The Apple Watch was not just a flop, but a debacle!

BH Photo and Video is pretty great. I like them a whole lot better than J&R. Even if BH is closed on Saturdays and sometimes shuts down for four days in a row.

Heh, that's a little weird, but I guess B&H Photo does sell a fair bit of Apple gear, and has in the past. For those unfamiliar with B&H, they are a fantastic NYC photography equipment store. They have excellent prices and shipping on camera stuff (better than Amazon usually) and I've gotten a tripod and several lenses from them over the years ordering online. I've been meaning to stop in there the next time I get to NYC, but I don't think they'd be my first choice to get an Apple Watch at.

$150 to $200 is more realistic at this stage for the base model. Who in their right mind would pay retail for a stainless steel model at this point?
I have a left over LG G watch that works great with my iPhone 6S. I only paid $80 and it came with a $50 Google play credit during Black Friday last year. I only want to interact with the watch for a few seconds. Any longer I'd rather whip out the phone.
With Black Friday next month I'm expecting more deals on maybe a round watch this time that would work just fine with my iPhone.
