itunes106Apple has released iTunes 10.6 for download, following the release of 1080p iTunes Store video content and an updated Apple TV earlier today.

iTunes 10.6 adds the ability to play 1080p HD movies and TV shows from the iTunes Store.

This release also includes many improvements for iTunes Match, including:

• Improved song matching

• Improved album artwork handling, downloading, and display

• Addresses an issue where songs may skip when playing from iCloud

The iTunes 10.6 download clocks in at 126MB and is available via Apple's iTunes download page or via Software Update.

I knew it would be FREE for 720p owners! But I was wrong about having three different video flavors :D:o

Just to let everyone know: In order for existing 720p owners to upgrade to 1080p, you have to go into the Store settings in the iTunes preferences and select 1080p.
