Of note, however, they write about the upcoming PPC chips from Motorola. As we've all been following it, there seem to be some glitches in getting faster PPC's out. MacUser UK reports that the revision of the G4 running at 600/700/800mhz may be available as early as October/November of this year. There is also speculation of 1 GHz chips in early 2001.
A good thing, as the AMD and Intel have just announced their 1 GHz chips and to "joe" consumer, the numbers mean a lot.
