They need an option for requiring a passcode to turn off the phone or to turn on airplane mode. This would keep thieves from turning the device off, which would prevent contact from being made with MobileMe, unless they used a Faraday cage or similar. But honestly now...

I'm hoping this 3.1 also includes some APIs which I heard a while back give special tie-ins to the video camera and some other hardware features so some of these devs can update their apps. cough*i'mtalkingtoyouQikdevs*cough
I assume this breaks tethering? I don't really need it anymore, though I did use it quite a bit this summer. It does come in handy in a pinch. I guess there is always NetShare or JB.
