Apple Releases Beta 3.1 iPhone Firmware and SDK to Developers

Even with the recent release of iPhone 3.0, Apple is hard at work at the next update: iPhone 3.1. Apple seeded registered developers with a beta version of the firmware and SDK today. Few details were provided as to the improvements to be found in the new firmware. The latest build number is 7C97D.

iPhone SDK 3.1 beta and iPhone OS 3.1 beta are now posted to the iPhone Dev Center. These versions are for development and testing only and should be installed on devices dedicated to iPhone OS 3.1 beta software development. Please read the iPhone OS Pre-Install Advisory and the iPhone SDK 3.1 beta release notes before downloading and installing.

Yeah. Maybe they 'fix' the dialer so its half the size and the top area brings up names as you punch numbers!

They could actually change the colour temperature through a firmware update: I believe they've done it in the past.
What they should really do is let people change it themselves through settings. That would eliminate all the problems ;)
