Apple Seeds Mac OS X 10.5.3 (9d19) to Developers

Apple waited a full week before seeding the latest version of Mac OS X 10.5.3 (9d19) to developers on Friday. The latest version of Mac OS X Leopard adds 31 bug fixes to the growing list of issues addressed in the upcoming release. Features that are specifically targeted for focused testing include AirPort, Back To My Mac, Spaces, Time Machine and many others.

Apple first seeded Mac OS 10.5.3 9d10 in late-March and has been issuing regular releases to developers.

Once complete, the final Mac OS X 10.5.3 update will become available as a free update to existing Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) users via Software Update. No target date is set, but testing for a new version can extend over several months.

Is it just bug fixes or are there performance improvements too? It would be nice if each point release improved performance in some small way. By the time you got to .9 or .10 it would all add up.

Anyone have a clue on what issues it will fix? Or what it may cause?

Honestly the only thing I want is for Leopard to start up and shut down as fast as Tiger did. It is still much faster than Windows but not near where Tiger was. And what's with 3 different shades of the blue screens at start up???

Other than that honestly the only bugs I ever notice are the printer icons stay in the dock after you print, spaces kind of makes windows go a little funky some times like in Final Cut Pro, and Front Row has a graphical glitch with the bottom fade out gradient on the text lists. That's basically it, I have LOVED Leopard from the start and I couldn't ever go back :D

You can right click on the printer icon and choose autoclose or some such and it will be gone when printing is completed.
