Apple Releases iTunes 7.0.1 [Updated]
Apple released the iTunes 7.0.1 update today through the Mac OS X Software Update. The new version is also available at Apple's site.
Some users have had problems with the 7.0 update. This update presumably addresses these issues.
Update: One user again noticed text strings (previously reported) have found their way into iTunes 7.0.... including ones that indicate that future iTunes-compatible phones may support TV shows and Movies:

"4301.123" = "Are you sure you want to sync TV shows? All existing TV shows on the mobile phone ^1 will be replaced with TV shows from your iTunes library.";

I'm going to check those performance issues. The only one I could complain of was Cover Flow hogging a lot of RAM.

That was rather quick, although I haven't had any issue with iTunes 7 on PPC Macs.

I just did a "check for updates" on the PC version 7.0.0.70 and it responded with that I am up to date. Not that I really care about keeping my "at work" PC up to date, I store all my music at home on the PowerBook anyway...

Why is it that iTunes 7 always messes up permissions? It seems like getting that right should be a simple fix.
