Comments on MacOS X

Saturday March 11, 2000 10:32 am PST by
Maccentral posted this article with info and comments from users about MacOS X. DP3 still seems in an early state... especially in terms of UI issues, but the potential here is insane. Unix based os, with the consumer backing of Apple? This is what Linux people are all crazy about - or feel that they will achieve - a mass-marketable unix. I don't know if they will. Apple may, but they...

Ads in MP3s?

Thursday March 9, 2000 1:03 am PST by
Ugh... don't get me wrong... ads are great-- they make the internet go. But, read this article about a Canadian company which is trying to create a Mp3 related format with ads. I think what they're missing is that the large popularity of the MP3 format is the popularity of home-encoded...

Shawn Fanning, the creator, speaks out about Napster's future. Of note, he hints at expanding Napster to files other than MP3's. :) If he thinks they're in trouble now... There's a great Mac port, known as Macster....
