I'm sure that the Neo is cannibalizing some sales.

Maybe the MBA 13” because they are the same sort of size, but with these discounts making them slightly under £1,000 your getting a seriously powerful prosumer laptop for the money. Neo is a solid option though for its price point and target audience, and is selling very well as we all know.

Bought my M5 15" base model for £1,169.97 on Amazon a few days ago, still the same price at the moment.

What a lovely machine, totally worth every penny.

Make sure you get a great deal on the purchase side.

People really take it in the shorts on Apple stuff these days if they buy at MSRP.

There are people all over Facebook marketplace asking more for M2 and M3 models than you can just go out and buy an M4/M5 for directly. It makes me sad when they advertise with phrases like “I paid X.”

What you paid doesn’t really matter when trying to sell it later.

It used to be that there was almost no discounting on new products, only new old stock. Online shopping has completely changed the Apple sales strategy.

And I'm keeping my M3 MacBook Air as long as possible. Between it and my M4 Pro Mini, I expect years of useful computing from it.
