A $100 HomePod mini serves as a homekit hub. That would leave you with $80 to get basically any other streaming stick or box out there and you'd get a HomePod mini out of it too.
I’ve got an Apple TV 4K, used on a TCL Roku TV and gave away two Fire TVs. The cheaper streaming devices aren’t worth it in comparison, I always prefer Apple TV.

I can't believe people still trust in Apple after CSAM mess. For Apple you are a product and money feeder. Apple holding tons of customer data and they explode all iSheeps once their earnings start slows down.
Say what? First, are you a time-traveller because you wrote “after CSAM mess” when that has not been released yet and may well not be. Second, the only privacy-head-in-the-sand sheep I am aware of are the people who continue to use Google, Facebook, Amazon, etc who are already scanning CSAM but in a way you would never know if they sold out to foreign entities. Seriously, how stupid do the you think the rest of us are?

On topic, the Apple TV experience is far superior to any other device I have ever experienced, don’t even get me started on so-called “Smart TVs“, and is worth the cost to me. Bonus, I am not selling my privacy in the process.

I really like our Apple TV's. I got an HD Homerun 4K Flex so I can also watch free live TV and the device is perfect. I think it's maybe a little expensive but it does what it does better than anything else. Extremely fast and responsive and the voice recognition is superb.

Google and Amazon might be cheaper, but they are cheaper because you are the product. Despite Apple's stupid CSAM mess they are head and shoulders above Amazon and Google in keeping my data private.
