Microsoft Vista Delayed until 2007

News.com reports that due to ongoing delays, Microsoft will be delaying the broad launch of Windows Vista until January 2007.

Windows Vista has already been delayed a number of times and reportedly Microsoft has been scaling back several features to ensure an earlier release. Early versions of Vista have drawn comparisons to Mac OS X.

During the 2005 WWDC Keynote, Steve Jobs stated that Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard would be released in the same timeframe (late 2006 or early 2007).
