iPhone 3.0 Copy and Paste Described
According to Rose, to invoke Copy and Paste, you simply double tap on the word, and a magnifier bubble will appear with two quotes that you can drag around your selection. Once you make your selection, you can copy, paste or cut. Rose has been accurate in the past with details about upcoming Apple product revisions. As well, we have also heard that Copy and Paste will be arriving in 3.0 alongside a much improved homepage/springboard with the ability to organize in categories.
Apple will be revealing iPhone 3.0 in detail on Tuesday, March 17th at a special media event.

(View all)He said it worked like this... you would press and hold a word and a Magnifier type bubble would appear with quotes around the word. Move the quotes around what you want selected and then you can press Copy.
Also confirmed no MMS for this release.
Confirmed that there would be no background apps, but he says that what Apple has coming will wipe away any advantages that Palm has touted with its Pre handheld.
Also confirmed no video due to a hardware limitation with the NAND memory that Apple uses. The amount of writing and IO to the memory could cause issue with the phone hardware, so it's out of the question.
You can see this all on the Diggnation that will air next week.
Copy and Paste? Check.
MMS? Nope.
Video? Nope.
Background Apps? Nope.
So where on earth is the "+more" part?
Seems like he is saying all the rumored stuff is NOT coming to the new firmware.
I mean, they surely are not going to go from 2.2 to 3.0 and only bring Copy and friggin Paste to the table?
Right?
Useful, considering we'll see exactly what 3.0 has coming on Tuesday anyway.

Sorry, maybe that's not the proper way to say it, I just wanted to get the point across that there was more info in this than just him confirming Copy & Paste.

People in the crowd were yelling out features, so he answered the big ones... like MMS and Video and Background Applications... he didn't have any other insight into it, but I'm pretty sure that Apple has more in store for us on Tuesday than just Copy and Paste, they don't usually make big point releases without them (again, usually don't...)

Sounds like your going to have to purchase the 2009 iphone this summer to get more than copy and paste.

Would you please clarify what you mean by videos. Confused.TIA.

He means video recording.
Google how wrong he has been about the iphone before.
Then continue to ignore Kevin Rose on this and other matters...
Apple always disappoint me, so my expectations are LOW.
Kevin Rose?
