Apple Releases iMacs, eMac Price Drop
Vague rumors have been circulating since before MacWorld San Francisco about updates to Apple's consumer line. Detailed rumors ($1799 17" iMac) came just a week ago. Rumor wrapup to follow.
New iMacs
$1299, 15" LCD, 800MHz, GeForce 2MX, Combo Drive
$1799, 17" LCD, DDR, 1GHz, GeForce 4MX, 4x SuperDrive
The 17" is Bluetooth-Ready and Airport Extreme Ready. CD-RW model seems to be absent, and there is also a 17" Custom Build for $2348 which includes Airport Extreme and Bluetooth.
eMac prices dropped to $999 and $1299.

The 17" is DDR and has airport extreme as well as internal bluetooth. (Bluetooth ready)

Basically the low end is one of the old range: no ddr sdram, no airport extreme, 800 mhz, geforce2 mx. That's the cheap'o model.
