Apple Is Working on a Screenless Fitness Band
Apple is considering bringing to market an Apple Watch-style fitness band with no screen, according to a report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

The approach is said to be part of a broader re-evaluation of the Apple Watch lineup within the company, as it seeks "something that transforms the product for a new era."
The Apple Watch has been a market leader in the smartwatch category for years, but the popularity of screen-less trackers has increased over the last 12 months, with Google, Oura, and Whoop all releasing screen-free bands of various kinds.
The products are believed to be increasingly attractive because they cause less distraction, as well as offering lighter weight and longer battery life.
Apple reportedly has not yet settled on the direction of its shakeup of the Apple Watch lineup, with the company apparently also considering smart rings – and even an Apple Watch with a circular display.
Whichever way it goes, Gurman reckons the revamp "could be as significant as the iPhone's transformation from a slab design into a foldable device."
