The social media platform, formerly known as Twitter, stopped working in the past few minutes. It is unclear how long the outage will last.

Update — 10:25 a.m. Eastern Time: X is back online.
Update — 11:15 a.m. Eastern Time: X is down again. The platform has faced three separate outages today so far.
Update — 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time: X came back, went down again, and came back again. Whiplash! This will be our final update to this post, as the platform is clearly experiencing a rough day and may continue to have intermittent availability.
