I got the 32GB last week, also on sale. I'm late to the ATV party, but now I never want to leave. I'd been using Firesticks and Roku sticks ever since I cut the cord several years ago (RIP PS Vue, long live YouTube TV), but in recent months, I found myself having to restart them almost every single time. Not sure if they were running out of RAM or what, but they definitely felt like they couldn't keep up today's streaming apps.

The ATV is such a breath of fresh air. Zero lag time. Picture quality looks amazing (didn't realize how poor the Firestick renders 4K). And such a joy to use. I found myself watching more TV over the last week just because how much I enjoyed the ATV experience.

Even at these discounted prices, is it overpriced for what it does? Sure. And I probably wouldn't have bought one if they weren't on sale. But I'm glad I did.

I upgraded to the 4K from the HD recently. I do not play games but just watch movies and baseball and the news. ATV is a great device for these tasks.

I agree. I got a used 64GB last year and I'm contemplating on getting another one for the second tv. The picture is night and day, processing is so much faster, plus it's seamless if you are already in the ecosystem.

When I add it to the cart it goes back up to 189

Edit: now I guess the deal is gone for good. Doesn't even show the discounted price in the Apple TV page

Give us an option to output unprocessed digital bitstream audio and I’ll buy another in the future. Until then it’s no sale. Would it be so hard to flash up a dialogue saying that Siri voiceovers will be disabled in doing so? The thing is totally hobbled for power users and is substantially overpriced even when it’s on discount.
