The 12-inch MacBook is Apple's low-cost notebook, featuring a 12-inch Retina display, 10-12 hour battery life, Force Touch trackpad, and a butterfly keyboard, all encased in a 0.5-inch thin enclosure.

In terms of sales, we've been tracking an ongoing discount for the 512GB version of the same MacBook at multiple retailers, but B&H Photo's flash sale today is the best price currently available online for the 256GB model. It's also the best we've ever seen among the major retailers.

That should have been the price from the start.

But we all know Apple would rather rip you off to get to a trillion dollar valuation than price their products respectably.

Stupid stinky CAD. That's 1070CAD, 15% tax, so 1230.50 in total. Still feels like way too much to me for Core M and one USB C port.

My fiancée got this rev when they were released and still loves it. Extremely light weight and portable (fits into a handbag). Can run Photoshop and Illustrator just fine... not limited to iOS. She has an iMac for more intensive projects. This is a great price!
