Realmac Software has released an iOS companion app for its digital scrapbooking app Ember. Ember is an app to help designers and developers organize images into easily navigated collections with automatic analysis for colors, to make sorting images easier.

The free iOS app allows users to sync their entire Ember library with iCloud to access it on any Mac or iOS device, and screenshots from iOS devices can automatically be added to Phone or Tablet categories for quick access.

Organise your ideas and design inspiration - Take and save photos directly to your Ember library, or import images from your Camera Roll. Organise your Collections, apply tags to images, and build Smart Collections based on the tags and other metadata in your library.

Sharing is built right in - Share your snaps with your friends and co-workers via Mail, AirDrop, Messages, Twitter and Facebook.

Auto-detect iPhone and iPad screenshots - Ember automatically sorts screenshots imported from your Camera Roll into “Phone” and “Tablet” Collections for you. We’ll be adding Auto-Import for screenshots in a forthcoming update too!

iCloud - Ember for iOS ties into the iCloud support in Ember for Mac, allowing you to use one Ember library across all your Mac and iOS devices.

Smart Collections & Colour - Just like on the Mac, Ember for iOS analyses the images in your library, allowing you to use natural language to find images in your library. For example, search for "Dark Blue" or "Light Green".

Now now, you all should know that we don't take paid placement unless it is fully disclosed.

Realmac makes high-quality software and is very responsive to questions from press members, plus they have very targeted pitches for their products. If more developers had press strategies like they do, they would get more coverage, honestly.

Well at least they give you a free iOS app after spending $50 on the Mac app...

EDIT: Oh wait... I didn't read the part about IAP.... forget what I said. Apple should add an option where we get to pay in blood.
