iPad FaceTime Halloween Costume Lets You See Right Through Your Body

by

As noted by Gizmodo, one NASA engineer has used the iPad 2's FaceTime video conferencing feature to his advantage when creating a Halloween costume:

A very smart dude by the name of Mark Rober figured out that if you strap two iPad 2's to yourself, you can create this incredible, freaky hole effect.

The two video conferenced iPads gives the impression of a gaping hole in the middle of his torso.

Or you could just cut a real hole in your body. It'd be a lot cheaper, not to mention more realistic.

How hard would it be to at least line up the entrance and exit holes?
But then the illusion wouldn't work as the iPad camera is not in the middle of the iPad - the iPad camera on the rear iPad has to be in the same position as the middle of the screen on the front iPad, so the two iPads have to be offset.

If the screens were less brighter, it'd make for a pretty realistic "hole."
