Apple Releases Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 3.8

iphoto iconApple today released Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 3.8, adding RAW image support for a number of new cameras.

This update adds RAW image compatibility for the following cameras to Aperture 3 and iPhoto '11:

- Konica Minolta DiMAGE A200
- Olympus PEN E-P3
- Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G3
- Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GF3
- Samsung NX11
- Samsung NX100
- Sony Alpha NEX-C3
- Sony Alpha SLT-A35

The update weighs in at 6.91 MB and requires Mac OS X 10.6.5 or later or OS X 10.7 or later.

No Samsung TL500 / EX1 ? (STILL??!!?!)

...... and still, after over a year, NO support for the Samsung TL500 / EX1.

Totally unsat, Apple. Un-SAT.

I might as well use Lightroom, since Aperture can only see the "previews" of my .SRW RAW files, but then it gives me the big middle finger when I try to import saying it is an unrecognized file format.

I submitted feedback at least 5 times for support for this camera. They were probably too busy working on something non-Mac related....
