
Apple's online stores went down early this morning ahead of rumors that the iMac will be refreshed with Thunderbolt and Sandy Bridge processors. New products are typically launched around 8:30am Eastern / 5:30am Pacific.

Maybe they should get a better system in place that lets them update on the fly....imagine if Amazon shut down every time they added a new product!
I'm pretty sure they do this on purpose. Closing the store adds even more excitement and media buzz to the announcement.Time to put that ailing 2005 HP Pavillion in the dumpster!
