Apple Retail Store, new Bus, and UMA-2 iBook

Word that Apple is looking to open their own Retail Stores around Macworld NewYork. The previous concern about these were that they would provide competition to CompUSA and (now) the Wiz's offerings.
Multichannel Bus Technology slated for the Macs?
UMA-2 based iBooks promise decreased size, increased memory capacity, stereo sound, increased bus speed, firewire?, s-video out, and possibly 13" displays. Sounds like a lot of promise... so I wouldn't hold my breath.
