YouTube Extends 'Capture' App to iPad to Film and Share Videos

YouTube has upgraded its Capture video filming app, making it available on the iPad and iPad mini. Of course, shooting video with the iPad is not always as practical as using the iPhone, but many folks choose to do it anyway.

YouTube-ready with background music

But if its not royalty-free will that still prevent it from being played on mobile devices?

They've put micro-film IN the iPad? Amazing. Or maybe you mean 'Record'.

Sorry, too many years of TV school being chastised for getting that nomenclature wrong. Now I'm doomed to pay it forward. :)

And I take it you never decided to ask why they were grinding such a stupid concept into your head?

film [film]

verb (used with object)
10.
Movies.
a.
to photograph with a motion-picture camera.
b.
to reproduce in the form of motion pictures: to film a novel.

verb (used without object)
12.
Movies.
a.
to be reproduced in a motion picture, especially in a specified manner: This story films easily.
b.
to direct, make, or otherwise engage in the production of motion pictures.

Being that a "motion picture (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/motion%20picture)" can use frames captured on any media (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/motion%20picture), from celluloid to digital sensors, then it follows that to film something, actual celluloid film is not necessary.
