DC Entertainment, the #1 comic book publisher in the U.S., announced today its entire line of periodical comic books are now available for download from the top three e-bookstores including Kindle Store, iBookstore and NOOK Store. The precedent setting new digital availability brings bestselling DC Comics and Vertigo periodical titles, including JUSTICE LEAGUE, BATMAN, SUPERMAN, DETECTIVE COMICS, ACTION COMICS, BATGIRL, WONDER WOMAN, GREEN LANTERN, FABLES and AMERICAN VAMPIRE, among many others, to an even broader audience of digital readers.
DC will continue to deliver comics through its DC Comics and Vertigo apps, as well as the comiXology platform. The inclusion of the comics on the iBookstore is intended to make it easier for comic readers to purchase via their preferred digital outlet.

Comixology is an awesome app that does Marvel, DC, Image lots of Indies and yes, all of The Walking Dead. All products are available for download and have guided reading where it enlarges each frame as you swipe (if you choose to read in that mode). In addition, issues are available to read on their website on your computer. I can't recommend it highly enough, it has brought me back into reading comics.

Oh yeah, all comics are bought through your Apple account:

Heavy Metal magazine (former Metal Hurlant), HellBoy or anything by Dave McKean, Serpieri, Vertigo …
NO Marvel or DC comics.

Isn't Vertigo a DC property, their 'mature' line?

YAWN

Seriously, who reads comics in 2012? How many times can Superman die, then return to life?

People who enjoy reading as an entertainment? Comic books are not just for children, just like video games are not just for children. I have been reading comic books since the early 80's.

Especially these days where now media is all integrated from publication, toys, video games and movies. You do know The Avengers is so far the number one movie of 2012? Grossing over $600 million dollars AND it is based from a comic book.

I do not plan on using this format since I rely on Comixology for my comic book needs, and I am to heavily invested to switch to another format though.

How many times can a person obsess over an incremental quality increase in a product and follow rumors of it's development for months on end?

I mention that only because I guess I don't see the need to specifically point out when I think what someone else enjoys is useless to me.

LOL..sounds EXACTLY like my gramps..exactly. When he met some of my buds who do graphics, screenplays and on set production on a few comic standards and three new series, he was totally puzzled. Demographic difference , if not in age, certainly in playfulness.

I know you're just a troll (as your name suggests), but I will bite with a simple fact. 3 out of the top 5 highest grossing movies this year have been based on comic book characters. I am sure a good percentage of these viewers are also reading the comic.

Also, wake up and grab some culture. There is an exciting world out there that isn't delivered by your video game system.
