Apple Releases Mac OS X 10.6.3 Build 10D567 to Developers

Apple today seeded yet another version of Mac OS X 10.6.3, termed Build 10D567, to developers. iPhone in Canada offers some details on the new version, which has seen only minor refinements as development appears to be wrapping up. Developers are reportedly asked to focus their testing on Graphics Drivers, iChat, QuickTime, Printing and Rosetta.

The last developer build of 10.6.3 was seeded last week Wednesday, and we continue to expect a public release of the third maintenance update to Snow Leopard in the relatively near future. Mac OS X 10.6.2 was released in early November.

4th Dimension is unusable in 10.6.2 (and previous) at present due to a bug that causes a crash after a few calls to the finder, an Apple bug. I have had to resort to an older desktop machine to run 10.5.8 although I have been told it would be possible to downgrade new machines with some effort! If this isn't mended I will be quite mad! Other developers have resorted to all kind of work rounds. Although Snow Leopard may have been seen by many to be a good upgrade, for me it has been a disaster. Talk of new machines (I would like to update my MacBook Pro) is an irrelevance if this isn't sorted as I used 4D for nearly all of my business computer use.

Is this the Apple Events bug?

Does anyone know if the Apple Events bug is fixed in 10.6.3?

Should we expect them to fix the choppy, jerky animations for Spaces? Or have we completely given up on that...

When I used my friend's old MacBook with Leopard still on it, I was shocked by how smooth the animations work on it. And then I remembered that my MacBook Pro used to work as smoothly as his before...

Just thought I'd get the inevitable complaining out of the way for those who can't wait to bemoan the lack of new MBPs.

Please fix the multitouch bug where gestures don't work every few reboots. Also fix the eSATA expresscard drivers that cause random kernel panics.

There were references to the new MBPs in 10.6.2
