Apple's Q3 2008 Financial Results on July 21st
Recent reports however, have suggested that Apple's U.S. personal computer marketshare continues to increase substantially with 30-40% gains year-over-year.
While the iPhone 3G has been well received, most reviewers appear most impressed with the App Store and the variety of applications that are available. As David Pogue describes:
The App Storeoh, man, the App Store. Its a candy store, dude. Its 550 free or cheap add-on programs that make the iPhone (or the iPod Touch) do absolutely amazing thingsstunts a cellphone has no right to perform.
Impressive apps such as Pandora Radio, BeatMaker, a VNC client and a Role Playing Game have certainly raised the bar for future apps.Top Rated Comments
(View all)We also need to get some emulators in here, Nintendo, Gamegear, Gameboy, etc.
The emulators are legal, ROMs are illegal, right? (heck I'd pay $3-5 for good old classics)
There should be a separate area of the App store for eBooks too.
Impressive apps such as Pandora Radio, BeatMaker, a VNC client and a Role Playing Game have certainly raised the bar for future apps.
How much more sophisticated can these apps get?
David Pogue is such a douche.
Grow up.
I wish they would have had more iPhones in all the countries. They really could have brought in record profits. People will just get another iPhone clone from another company and they lose the sale.
The App store is made for iTunes. I don't think Knock-off phones would work on the store and part of what makes it great is that everything is in one place. I don't think phone makers will be able to mirror the store with their own.
Grow up.
Why? His comment only displays how immature he is. Clearly mine does too, but I'm entitled as an anonymous person on the internet. He is a journalist writing for a very influential newspaper.David Pogue is such a douche.
You haven't read any of his books have you?
