Altec Lansing revealed the inMotion today -- "the first portable audio system designed expressly for the Apple iPod"

The inMotion iPod/Speaker system provides a docking bay, allowing 3rd Generation (Dock) iPods to perform syncing functions, alarm integration and Speaker output.

Available exclusively in the Apple Online Store in October, and will then see a general release.

inMotion provides a unique use of the Dock Connector introduced in the 3rd Generation iPods. According to the press release, Altec Lansing worked closely with Apple on this project. This product could eliminate one of the possibilites on the wishlist from the rumored iPod Peripherals.
