iOS 27's more intelligent and personal version of Siri is available on the iPhone 15 Pro and newer, but two specific features tied to it are exclusive to the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air, according to Apple.
Specifically, the ability to customize the expressiveness and pace of Siri's voice and a "major boost in accuracy" for speech-to-text dictation are only available on the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air, given that the latest, more advanced on-device Apple Intelligence model powering these enhancements requires a minimum of 12GB of RAM.
The standard iPhone 17 model and all previous-generation iPhone models are equipped with 8GB of RAM or less, so they do not support the new on-device model.
The two features are also available on iPads with the M4 chip or newer and Macs with the M3 chip or newer, so long as they have at least 12GB of RAM.
iOS 27 is currently in beta and will be released in September.
