Apple today seeded the second beta of an upcoming tvOS 14.6 update to developers for testing purposes, with the new beta coming one week after Apple seeded the first beta.

Designed for the fourth and fifth-generation Apple TV models, the tvOS 14.5 developer beta can be downloaded onto the ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌Apple TV‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ via a profile that's installed using Xcode.

Other than new releases, tvOS updates are often minor in scale, focusing on under-the-hood bug fixes and improvements rather than major outward-facing changes. There's no word yet on what's included in tvOS 14.6 update, but we'll update this article should anything new be found.

Though we don't often know what's new in tvOS during the beta testing process, we let MacRumors readers know when new updates are available so those who are developers can download it upon release.

Someone please tell me the option to select 24Hz is back. Apple ruined my wireless audio sync for a lot of my favorite content by removing it.
You'll be happy to know it is! They added every single frame rate, resolution, and dynamic range combo to the Other Formats menu with 14.6 beta 2, including all integer and fractional variants:

Apple needs to fix the problem with Apple TV not showing photos as a screensaver. This has been going on since Big Sur was released.

Just FYI my photos via iCloud are working as my ATV screen saver.
I appreciate your response but I'd rather not use the cloud. I want to set up home sharing to show photos from a specific folder on my hard drive. This worked fine with Catalina.
