Apple iPhone by Motorola? [Updated]

New fuel was added to the Apple branded phone fire in a post at TreoMac.com, saying that Motorola was working on an Apple-branded phone with iTunes and iPhoto integration. According to the post, the phone featured a top-located media card slot, and possibly a bottom-located USB port.

No other information is available as of yet.[Update, January 6, 2005] Matt Hicks at eWeek reports that Motorola demonstrated an iTunes-compatible mobile phone at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

It syncs with a computer and the iTunes Music Store like an iPod does, and incorporates the iPod interface for navigating and playing digital music, said Ron Garriques, a Motorola executive vice president.The demo at CES bolsters rumors that an iTunes-compatible Motorola phone would be launched this month, possibly at the Macworld conference and expo that opens next week in San Francisco.
