eWeek reports that Apple is extending into mobile devices with its Quicktime software.
- Apple Computer Inc. is reportedly preparing to extend the reach of its QuickTime multimedia software to mobile devices. According to sources, the company this month is expected to wrap up development on QuickTime 6.3, code-named "Sidecar."
Some support of such devices was first announced last year by Apple. eWeek details other improvements coming with Quicktime 6.3, including improved support for iApps, MIDI and streaming.
