Apple's redesigned Health app is currently being tested in the iOS 27.2 beta, but it is not expected to be included in the update's public release later this month.
As we reported in September, Apple still plans to roll out the redesign in 2026, but it will likely arrive in a future update to iOS 27 after the release of iOS 27.2, which is expected late October.
The redesign provides health summaries that update throughout the day, as well as a new Insights tab that looks at your health data over time to calculate your Health Age based on activity level, VO2 max, sleep time, and other metrics. It also uses fitness assessments you can do right on your iPhone to check flexibility, balance, and VO2 max.
In addition, Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 owners will see a readiness score calculated from recent activity, vitals, and sleep score to help them decide whether to take a recovery day or push harder.
Apple also plans to offer a $119 laboratory panel from Quest Diagnostics, which will also contribute to the Health Age score.
Getting the most out of the Health app will require an Apple Watch or another fitness device that integrates with it. Apple says it will initially be available in U.S. English, but it hasn't said when more languages will be added. Expect the update before the holidays.
