Apple TV 4K Getting A19 Chip and a Potentially Easier-to-Find Siri Remote

“Easier to find Siri Remote” you say…

I’m envisioning this with a click wheel.

So 8 GB RAM, not gonna get the most advanced Siri AI models, but highly doubt most people (or anyone?) will care. I’m definitely picking one up.

Apple introduces Apple TV Studio

The remote you love. Now Easier than ever to find.

CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA — Apple today introduced Apple TV Studio, bringing the cinematic experience you love together with a breakthrough in remote location.

“Our most attached remote ever,” said Apple’s vice president of Remote Retention. “We asked how to make the remote easier to find. Then someone pointed at a bank pen.”

Apple TV Studio features a precision-engineered aerospace grade stainless steel cable that creates a seamless physical connection between you, your entertainment, and the furniture you’re now dragging across the room.

Find My. By cable. No app. No battery. No walking around holding your iPhone like a radiation detector. Just follow the steel.

Introducing the Cable Reservoir. Beautifully coiled beneath Apple TV, the Cable Reservoir stores additional reach until you need it. Because “extra wire” didn’t sound like $499.

Locked into the ecosystem. Literally. A combination dial lock keeps your remote in the Apple family. Its intuitive mechanical interface introduces an entirely new way to forget a password.

“For years, customers have asked us to make the remote harder to lose,” the spokesperson added. “So we decided to reinvent the cable.”

Apple TV Studio starts at $499. Customers seeking to sit farther from their television can purchase the revolutionary Cable Plus cable extension upgrade for $29.99.

Don't care about the 8GB of RAM or the A19 thing, but it's a good thing that they are making an easier-to-find Apple TV Remote. Y'all should've seen how many times our Apple TV Remote has been lost!

I agree, I’ve had to use my phone in a pinch when the remote loses itself. This would be a welcomed feature.

No idea if there is any reason to upgrade my current Apple TV. Don’t really miss anything but happy for whoever gets the new one.

I just hope they don’t move the buttons around - AGAIN!!

And I do have to observe it is pretty amazing that they have zero new features after 5 years. Although I can’t think of much that would be mainstream, just a few niche features that would add cost without driving sales.

About the only thing of real substance would be a coax input for OTA broadcasts. But then you need storage which Apple TV most decidedly does not have. So there you go.
