First Apple TV 4K Now 'Vintage' Ahead of New Model Coming on Tuesday

Vintage in the car world is around 75 years.

Products in the tech world become vintage quicker than an avocado goes from ripe to bad.

mine still works great

Still have two in service.

I’d say RIP to that awful touch remote but I don’t want peace for it. Only eternal torment

i really dont get why some ppl are so excited about the new apple tv. seriously, what exactly are you expecting? a faster chip, some extra ram to run that crappy siri, maybe a slightly different remote and thats pretty much it. why do you think apple hasnt released a new one in almost 4 years? becouse theres hardly anything left to improve. the current apple tv is already fast enough for pretty much everything and could easily do its job for another 10 years or more. 8k is basically dead, hdmi 2.2 is completly pointless for a streaming box and there isnt really any new tv technology that requires more power. and wifi 7? lol, as if thats gonna make netflix or apple tv+ load any faster. 4k streaming needs around 25 to 30 mbps, which even ancient wifi 4 can easily handle. hell, even wifi 3 could manage some 4k streams under good conditions. some improvements could even be done with software updates on the current model. but sure, apple will throw in a newer chip, slap a new price tag on it and ppl here will act like its the biggest upgrade in years lol.

Sorry for your prolonged pain. I’ve gotten used to the remote over the last nine years and have no complaints about it other than the absence of a jump button.
