macOS Golden Gate Release Date Potentially Revealed by Apple
The new Mac mini and Mac Studio models announced by Apple today are "slated to ship" with macOS Golden Gate, according to Daring Fireball's John Gruber.

Apple said the new Mac mini and Mac Studio will be released on Tuesday, September 22, so macOS Golden Gate would need to be released before that date if the computers will ship with that operating system. In other words, macOS Golden Gate will likely be released by Monday, September 21 at the absolute latest. A release during the preceding week of Monday, September 14 is quite possible based on historical patterns.
An excerpt from Apple's Mac mini press release: "The new Mac mini comes to life with the upcoming macOS 27, which includes Siri AI, a profoundly more capable and personal assistant; helpful Apple Intelligence features across everyday apps; and an expansive set of improvements that make the Mac even more responsive and reliable."
macOS Golden Gate features Siri AI and other new Apple Intelligence features, design improvements, expanded child safety features, and more.
