AirPods Max are special because they literally don’t have any competitor on the market. As MKBHD defined it, it’s the only device in the “luxury listening” category. Worth every penny.

$300 would be a realistic price point for something like this. I imagine Apple is trying to squeeze the orange for as much juice as they can on this one.
The price amazon has them for is right imo. $450 range worth every penny
